5Mar12: PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) – Cambodia and Indonesia have agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, aviation and telecommunications, Foreign Minister Hor Nam Hong said Monday.
“Indonesia will send its senior officials to Cambodia to exchange views and experiences,” he said after a meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Foreign Marty Natalegawa.
Hor Nam Hong said the two sides also discussed the territorial dispute between China and some ASEAN countries in the South China Sea as well as Indonesia’s role in sending non-military personnel to the border area around the Preah Vihear Temple.
“I hope the Cambodia-Thai border disputes will be solved soon,” the Indonesia foreign minister said. He said Indonesia would do its utmost to ensure Cambodia’s success in chairing the Association of Southeast Asian Nations this year.
